What we have done in case of Railways, we are working on similar ground, i.e. to develop certain tie-up with organization like RITES Ltd. Currently, we are searching for a partner to fill in the vacant position of project manager so as to provide the complete project solution on turnkey basis. However the tie-up with RITES on the highways cannot be ruled out, since they are already providing consultancy to various highways projects.
Geographical Road Manager (GRM) Automated Engineering Software Tool for road construction sites (GRM) has been a chance development as we secured a small order from M/s IRCON International Limited, Ministry of Railway, Govt. of India for their Highway Project. It suited our plans ahead of schedule, since it has a module, which involves the earthwork/material calculation. This would fit into railways without much effort in item no. (a). and at same time this if reversed geometrically, can be used for Canal earth work calculation. The software was successfully developed and tested with following details.

GRM upon feeding the design details shall plot the cross-section of new or existing road at various chainage, give the Bill of Quantity (BOQ) of all material in all layers of the road and Aerial view of the road. With the use of GRM the users will be able to estimate the cost of the work and accordingly plan the work prior to commencing the execution. This will also help to understand and control the work progress. This software has the capability to take the data directly from the surveying equipment such Total Station and compatible with formats such as DWG, DXF etc enabling the compatibility with software such as.
This would render the software to become useful universally. The Designers and draftsmen would find it very easy to use since it is quite interactive and users' friendly as well.
