About Rajasthan
There is no other place like Rajasthan, so colourful, vibrant, incredibly attractive & simply irresistible .Rajasthan is located in the Western Part of India and has two distinct geographical regions with desert on one side and thick forest on the other. Aravalli the oldest mountain chain is the dividing line between the two climatic zones of the State. The eastern region of the State has thick vegetation of Sal, axlewood, dhak and mesquite. Even the desert area of Rajasthan is far from being barren and uninhabited. The rainfall,. though scanty, encourages the growth of grasses shrubs and peepal trees which grow well along the desert margin. Among the sand dunes we have babool and khejri trees, One of the world's oldest mountain ranges, the Aravalli Range, cradles the only hill station of Rajasthan, Mount Abu, and its world-famous Dilwara Temples, a sacred pilgrimage for Jains. Eastern Rajasthan has two national tiger reserves, Ranthambore and Sariska, as well as Keoladeo National Park near Bharatpur, famous for its bird life.
