ACG Infotech developed the Strategic Information Technology Plan for a large military training command to implement a metropolitan area network (MAN). This task entaileddeveloping and implementing a multi-vendor/multi-protocol MAN topology that included DEC VAX/VMS, UNIX, and Novell LANs. Potential security issues of the LANs,including level of trust, audit trails, weaknesses, and threats were addressed and resolved. Research activity included exploring new technologies for Internet and Intranetapplications as well as for LAN/WAN environments.
ACG Infotech assisted the Government in the design, development, and implementation of an Automated Electronic Classroom (AEC), including the installation and operation of equipment/systems. ACG Infotech conducted research into state of the art technology and determined the functional requirements for the AEC; provided a comprehensive plan for achieving the desired functionality; and provided recommendations for the facilities, equipment, software, and staffing needed to implement and maintain the electronic training system environment. ACG Infotech documented the results of these efforts in a Training Program and Technical Equipment Plan (TP&TEP) which addressed a three-phased implementation of courseware development and acquisition actions.
